Simulation study of flooding processes in the Mihe River Basin in Shandong Province based on the MIKE SHE hydrological model

    • Taking the Mihe River Basin in Shandong Province as the research object, based on data such as river network, rainfall and runoff situation, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), land use, soil type data, etc., a distributed flood coupling model is established based on the MIKE SHE coupled hydrodynamic model MIKE 11. The model simulates the flooding process in the river and outside the river channel, selects the measured flood data from the Tanjiafang Hydrological Station to calibrate the parameters of the model, and verifies the model with on-site survey data. The results show that the riverine hydrodynamic model can accurately simulate the process of riverine flood evolution, and the distributed hydrological model can simulate the process of slope flood evolution well. The distributed flood coupling model formed by the coupling of the two models can combine the advantages of the two models and is suitable for flood simulation in the Mihe River Basin. The simulation results can provide comprehensive data support for the risk assessment, prediction, and early warning of flood disasters in the basin.
