Abstract: Flash flood analysis and early warning play important role to prevention and control of flash flood disasters. The villages along the rivers,which often impacted by flash floods, are selected as disaster prevention objects for flash flood disasters analysis and early warning in Suizhong County. Using calculating method of the design storm flood in the small and medium sized rivers (area without data) in Liaoning Province, the design storm intensity and the design flood flow are calculated. By measuring river cross-sections and water level at the villages along the river,the flash flood prevention capabilities are analyzed. The warning indicator of the flash flood disasters prevention is developed, which makes the early warning system refined to villages. It provides scientific management and detailed information to further support flash flood prevention and control work in Suizhong County.
