Abstract: Preventing and controlling termites in dams and dikes are one of the important measures to ensure the safety of water conservancy projects. The trap and fill method is combined with the advantage of the traditional trapped measure and cone grouting method. The new method was based on the trapping of attractant, and fill the termites’ nests, cavities and tunnels by the cone grouting. It was affirmed that effective killed termites and filled the termites’ nests and tunnels, which successful resolved the problem in the Chagangshan levee of Yangtze River of Shishou City. This method has the advantages of easy operation and strong pertinence, and better than the traditional single method.
