Abstract: During August 2 to August 4, 2015，Dezhou City experienced severe rain storm along with long duration，high-intensity, wide-ranging. Heavy rainfall reached highest level in 7 counties in 12-hour period，which was the heaviest rainfall in past several years in Dezhou City. Based on the analysis results of the temporal and spatial distribution，hydrological characteristics，the countermeasures and impacts for "2015.8.3" storm are summarized. This study could provide reference for the scientific and effective management to heavy rainfall in the future.
