Abstract: Mountain flood disaster prevention has become the key task of flood prevention in Huanggang City as it’s prone to occur flood, rapid disaster forming, severe damage and difficult to defend. Yingshan County was chosen as the research area to carry out the analysis and investigation of mountain flood disaster. The investigation included the basic information collected from villages and towns in the prevention area and the acknowledgement of directory which need to be assessed. Rainfall early warning indicator was ensured after calculation designed storm flood, evaluation present capacity of flood prevention and classification of danger zone. The results provide basic data and technology support for mountain flood warning and monitoring, emergency plan and engineering management in all levels of Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters.
