Abstract: Flood disaster is one of the most harmful and serious natural disasters in Hefei City of Anhui Province. In 2020, Chaohu Lake basin experienced unprecedented floods, and levees along the Lake were soaked by high water levels for a long time, resulting in frequent dangerous situations. By summarizing the typical emergency cases of overflow, leakage, piping, cracks, landslides and slumps and sinkholes in Hefei City of Anhui Province, the main causes of these disasters were obtained, the methods of emergency protection were refined, and the experience and lessons were summarized to provide refence for the future flood prevention and rescue work.
