Abstract: Dayang River Basin is located in the area with high-frequency rainstorms and floods in Liaoning Prov-ince. This paper introduces the general situation of the Dayang River Basin, provides systematically analyses the spatial and temporal distribution and comprehensive rainfall characteristics of disastrous rainstorm and flood, con-ducts the partition, and briefly analyses the causes. It provides scientific support for the decision-making of flood control, design and planning of water conservancy projects, and utilization of water resources in this region.
